"The Racine Zoo fosters an enlightening wildlife experience that improves the bond between people and nature.”

THE RACINE ZOO

Racine, Wisconsin

The Racine Zoo fosters an enlightening wildlife experience that improves the bond between people and nature. It provides for recreation and education, the conservation of wildlife and wild places, and the advancement of science.

The Marjorie L. Christiansen Foundation supports “Senior Safari” programs – 45-minute-long encounters with four of the Racine Zoo’s ambassador animals.

During these educational experiences, participants dive into each animal's habitat, learning about the unique adaptations that help them survive and building connections with the animals that can make a lifelong impression. They also get the chance to share animal-related stories and to discover how animals are cared for at zoos. Every program is slightly different and uniquely adapted to the audience.
