TEENS GROW GREENS

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Teens Grow Greens offers Milwaukee teens transformative experiences through internships and apprenticeships surrounding cultivating and harvesting crops. “Culinary” and “Entrepreneurship” positions teach communication, work, and life skills as they encourage a sense of belonging and teamwork and offer opportunities for young people to grow as leaders.

Teens Grow Greens is founded on the belief in a future of “healed and healthy” humans who can not only survive but thrive — and ultimately evolve into active agents for positive change in their communities.

Work experiences culminate with an “Iron Chef”-style competition for teens with a culinary focus and a “Shark Tank”-style competition for those in entrepreneurship.

Funding from the Marjorie L. Christiansen Foundation supports programming and pays teens’ wages.
